OATMEAL BROWNIES 
1 1/2 quick cooking oats
1 c M & M miniature bits
1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 butter (melted)
1 pkg fudge brownie mix

In a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients; mix well, set aside 1 c for topping. Pat the remaining mixture into a greased 15x10x1 baking pan. Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Spread over the crust. Sprinkle with the reserved oat mixture.

Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

Yields 5 dozen.
