GLENNIFER'S BANANA - WHEAT QUICK BREAD | |
2 c. flour 3/4 c. whole wheat flour 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. salt 4 c. thinly sliced ripe bananas 1/3 c. butter, softened 3 tbsp. orange juice 2 eggs 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. raisins, if desired Preheat oven to 325 degrees (300 degrees for colored fluted bundt pan). Grease and flour, using solid shortening. In large bowl, blend all ingredients on low speed. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour into greased pan. Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until done. Immediately remove from pan. Cool. Store, wrapped in foil. Bread will mellow with age. |
