POTATO FILLING | |
6-8 med.-size potatoes, peeled, cut up in cubes and boiled 2-2 1/2 loaves bread, cut up 1/2 c. butter 1 sm. onion, diced 1 celery stalk, diced Salt and pepper Saute onions and celery in butter until tender. Mix boiled potatoes (slightly cooled), cut up bread and saute mixture together real good. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stuff in turkey, chicken or just put in casserole dish and place in oven for about an hour. Also can make a hamburger-stuffing casserole. Put raw hamburger on bottom of 9x13x2 pan. Then put in filling and top with more hamburger. Bake at 350 degree for 1 hour. Serve with brown gravy and vegetables. |
