VEGETABLE CHEESE CHOWDER 
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 c. milk
1 c. shredded sharp natural Cheddar cheese

Add vegetables to boiling water and cover to simmer, 10 minutes. Do not drain.

Make a white sauce with flour, butter, seasonings and milk. Add cheese. Stir until melted. Add undrained vegetables. Heat. Do not boil.
