VEGETABLE AU GRATIN | |
2 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 1 c. evaporated milk, diluted with 1 c. vegetable broth 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. grated Velveeta cheese 1 (16 oz.) pkg. mixed vegetables, cooked 1/2 c. buttered bread cubes, more if desired Melt butter, blend in flour. Remove from heat and gradually add diluted milk. Return to heat and cook until thickened; add cheese and continue cooking and stirring until cheese is melted. Place vegetables in buttered casserole, pour cheese sauce over all. Top with buttered cubes. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 15-30 minutes at 375 degrees. |
