CHRISTMAS FRUIT CAKE | |
1 lb. cherries, candied 1 lb. pineapple, candied 5 c. nuts 5 eggs 1 c. sugar 2 c. plain flour 1/2 lb. butter 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 1 tsp. almond flavoring Mix together fruit, nuts, sugar, flour, butter and flavorings. Cream eggs then add to mixture. Bake in tube pan 2 1/2 hours at 250 degrees. Hint: Mix flour and nuts together before adding other ingredients so nuts will not float to top of cake. |
