1 c. whole walnuts
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. whole Brazil nuts
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, cut up
8 oz. maraschino cherries, cut in half and juice
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

In bowl add dry ingredients. add whole nuts and fruit then mix well. Add beaten eggs and add cherry juice; mix well. Pour into greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until a toothpick comes out dry. Makes 2 loaves.
