OLD FASHION POTATO SOUP 
4 or 5 potatoes
1 stick butter
2 c. milk
Salt and pepper

Peel and cut up potatoes in chunks. Place potatoes in pot with just enough water to cover potatoes. Add salt and boil until tender. Mash potatoes until lumpy. Add butter, 2 cups milk and pepper. Simmer. Great served with country ham and cornbread.
