3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. butter
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs, well beaten

Put flour, salt, baking soda, cream of tartar through sifter into mixing bowl. Cut butter into small pieces and mix with dry ingredients like pie crust. Add 3 eggs, well beaten. Add sugar, milk and flavoring. Mix thoroughly. Roll thin and cut. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. May use 2 teaspoons almond flavoring or ground cardamon instead of nutmeg.
