ITALIAN PILLOW COOKIES 
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup corn syrup (Karo)
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 cup sesame seeds (for rolling)

Stir together flour and baking powder. In large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat together next 5 ingredients until smooth. Gradually add flour mixture; beat until soft dough forms. Cover; chill at least 1 hour or until easy to handle.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

For each cookie, shape 2 teaspoonfuls of dough into 2-inch long ropes. Roll in sesame seeds.

Place 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F oven 12-15 minutes or until very lightly browned.

Remove from cookie sheet; cool on rack.

Note: May be stored in tightly covered container up to 3 weeks.

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
