LIME PICKLES 
2 c. lime
1/2 bushel cucumber
1 gallon vinegar
18 c. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
Green food coloring
Whole cloves
Whole allspice
Celery seed

Mix 2 gallons cold water and 2 cups lime. Pour over sliced cucumbers. Let stand 24 hours. Then wash 3 times with cold water. Let stand in ice water 3 hours. Then drain well.

Mix 1 gallon vinegar, 18 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons salt, add green food coloring. Mix and pour over cold pickles. Let stand 12 hours or more. Put in cloth bag some whole cloves, whole allspice and celery seed. Add to pickles and boil 30 minutes. Pack in jars and seal.
