BANANA TORTE 
1 stick butter
2 c. plain flour
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. Cool Whip (8 oz.)
4 bananas
1 lg. box instant vanilla pudding
3 c. milk

Mix first 3 ingredients for crust; press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees or until brown. Mix confectioners sugar, cream cheese, and Cool Whip; spread over cooled crust. Slice bananas over filling. Mix pudding and milk; pour over bananas. Cover with thin layer of Cool Whip. Sprinkle top with chopped pecans. Garnish with cherries (optional).
