OUR FAMILY'S FAVORITE FUDGE SAUCE | |
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) evaporated milk 2 c. sugar 4 sq. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate or 4 env. (1 oz. each) pre- melted unsweetened chocolate 1/4 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt In saucepan, heat milk and sugar to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Reduce heat to medium. Add chocolate, stirring until melted. Keep over heat and beat with spoon until smooth. Remove from heat, stir in butter, vanilla and salt. Serve warm or cool. Store sauce in covered container in refrigerator. To serve, reheat over low heat, stirring constantly. Makes 3 cups. |
