GRANNY LOWE'S CHOCOLATE SYRUP
CAKE
 
1 c. sugar
1 c. self-rising flour
4 eggs
1 stick butter
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup

Cream butter and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time and beat well. Sift flour 3 or 4 times and add alternately with syrup. Bake in layers at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

ICING:

1/4 c. cocoa
6 tbsp. sweet milk
1 stick butter

Bring to a boil. Add enough confectioners' sugar to make a smooth spread.
