SOUTHERN CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
4 large sweet potatoes
1 stick butter
1 cup water
2 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp butter extract
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp coconut extract
2 cups sugar

Peel and cut sweet potatoes into thin strips. Place in skillet with water. Cook until most of water is gone and potatoes are tender. Place sugar, butter, flavorings and nutmeg in skillet and cook until all liquid has evaporated and potatoes are coated with sugar and candied.
