PECAN COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. soft butter
1 c. granulated sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
Candied cherries

Sift together first 3 ingredients. Mix butter and next 3 ingredients until light and fluffy. Blend in flour mixture. Form into balls (1 inch). Roll in pecan and cinnamon mix. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten balls with bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Top with cherries. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
