BEEF PAPRIKA | |
1 1/2 lb. beef, round 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced 4 tbsp. butter 4 1/2 tsp. paprika 1 beef bouillon cube 1/2 c. water 1 c. light cream or milk 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. light sour cream Hot noodles or hot rice Slice partially frozen beef and season with salt and pepper. Set aside. Fry up mushrooms, onion and garlic with butter. Add beef and fry up until done. Add paprika, bouillon cube and water; cook slowly until meat is tender. Combine milk and flour; shake up. Stir into beef mixture. Cook until sauce thickens. Stir some of the hot mixture into sour cream. Then, stir sour cream mixture into remaining hot mixture. Serve over noodles or rice. Makes 6 servings. |
