JAN'S OVERNIGHT TOSSED GREEN
SALAD
 
1 head lettuce
1 pkg. fresh spinach
1/2 c. sliced green onions
1 green pepper, thinly sliced
1 pt. cherry tomatoes, halved or whole
Slice thin any fresh vegetable, tomato or mushrooms
1 pkg. frozen peas
8 oz. sharp cheese, grated
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Layer in large salad bowl in order listed. Spread dressing over greens. Be sure to "frost" entire surface. Cover tight. Refrigerate overnight.

DRESSING:

1 1/2 c. salad dressing
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Stir to blend. Toss and serve immediately.
