CHERRY COBBLER | |
1 stick butter 1 1/3 c. sugar, divided 1 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. milk 1 (16 oz.) can pitted sour cherries Melt the butter in an 8x8 inch baking dish. Cool. Blend 1 cup of sugar, flour and baking powder. Mix in the milk to form a batter. Turn batter into the baking dish. Mix 1/3 cup sugar with cherries and put on top of batter. The batter will come to the top during baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until golden. Serves 6-8. |
