HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef (browned)
1 sm. onion
1 c. raw potatoes (cubed)
1 c. carrots (sliced)
1/2 c. celery
1 c. cabbage (shredded)
1 lg. can tomatoes
1/2 c. rice or barley
1 bay leaf, crushed
1/4 tsp. thyme, basil and pepper
6 c. beef bouillon

Brown meat with onion, drain. Add the potatoes, carrots, celery and cabbage. Add tomatoes and bring to a boil. Add the rice or barley, seasonings and 6 cups beef bouillon. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
