QUICK HAMBURG CHOWDER | |
1 med. onion 1 lb. ground chuck 3 c. V-8 juice or tomato juice 1 c. water 1/8 tsp. marjoram 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. sugar 1 c. grated potato 2 c. grated carrots 2 cans cream of celery soup May also add chopped green pepper Saute chopped onion and green pepper in a little oil. Add hamburger stirring until light brown. Add V-8 juice, water, bay leaf and sugar. Bring to a boil. Add grated vegetables and cream of celery soup. Stir until mixed and simmer 15 minutes. Serve with fresh homemade bread. |
