ANGEL FLAKE BISCUITS 
5 c. sifted self-rising flour
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/3 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable shortening
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. warm water

Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Pour yeast and buttermilk over dry ingredients; mix well. Store in covered container in refrigerator. Pinch off small amount of dough and bake at 450 degrees. Grease pan. No waiting for dough to rise. Yield about 36 biscuits.
