ANGEL - FLAKE BISCUITS 
5 c. flour
3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. dry powdered yeast
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. warm water

In a large bowl: Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Add buttermilk and yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup water. Mix with spoon until all flour is moist. Cover bowl and refrigerate dough until ready to use. (Dough keeps several weeks in refrigerator). Roll out dough on floured surface, 1/2 inch thick (or thicker if taller biscuits are desired) and cut with biscuit cutter. Place on baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes.
