VANILLA WAFER CAKE 
1 box vanilla wafers
1/3 c. milk
1 can coconut
1 stick butter
6 eggs
1 c. pecans, chopped

Crush vanilla wafers (rather finely) and put them in a large mixing bowl. Melt butter and add it, mixing until vanilla wafers are thoroughly moistened. Add eggs and then coconut to the mixture. (Beat by hand.) Then add as much of the milk as is needed to make the mixture easy to pour.

Last, add the chopped pecans. Stir. Place the mixture into a tube pan (greased and floured) and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until a toothpick stuck into cake comes out clean.
