UNCOOKED JAM | |
3-4 qts. berries 1 pkg. Sure Jell 1 c. light corn syrup 5 1/2 level c. sugar Wash and crush berries; sift in slowly Sure Jell and stir vigorously for 1 minute. Set aside for 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally. Add corn syrup and mix well. Gradually add sugar. Warm to 100 degrees (no hotter). Pour into jars and place in freezer. Keeps indefinitely in freezer and about 3 weeks in refrigerator. When using strawberries, add 1 teaspoon lemon juice when adding sugar. |
