PEAS & CHOURICO 
Oil to cover pan bottom
1 tsp. garlic, chopped fine
1 onion, chopped fine
2 sticks Chourico, removed from casing & break up into sm. pieces
2 lg. cans baby sweet peas
1 sm. can tomato sauce
2 med. red potatoes, not peeled, chopped
Green beans may be sub. for peas

Place oil in pan. Add onion, garlic and chouico. Saute with pan covered stirring frequently. Add juice from peas and tomato sauce; simmer for 10-20 minutes. Add potatoes and peas, continue cooking until potatoes are done. Serve as main dish or as a side dish. Serve with bread and butter. Taught to me by my grandmother. P.S. Be sure to "dunk" bread in broth.
