ORIENTAL PASTA SALAD 
1 lb. spaghetti or other pasta

DRESSING:

1/4 c. soy or tamari sauce
1/4 c. sesame oil
1/4 c. salad oil
1/2 c. rice wine vinegar
1/4 tsp. ground hot pepper (optional)
1/2 tsp. ground ginger or fresh ginger is better
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tbsp. rice wine

VEGETABLES:

2 c. broccoli, broken into flowerettes & chopped stems
1 c. snow peas (or regular frozen peas)
1 c. carrots, sliced on diagonal
1 green pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1/2 c. scallions

Combine dressing ingredients. Cook spaghetti to al dente stage and toss with dressing while still warm. Steam vegetables for 2-3 minutes and cool. Add to pasta when cool. Serves 4-6 as main dish - 10 as side dish. Great for a summer pitch in picnic.
