NORWEGIAN STYLE CARROTS | |
1-2 tbsp. shortening or butter 5-6 carrots, sliced 1 med. onion, sliced 2 tbsp. sugar Salt and pepper to taste Put shortening in saucepan. Fill pan with sliced carrots and onions. Add sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. DO NOT ADD WATER. If more moisture needed, add a small amount of shortening. |
