PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow or white cake mix
1 lg. box vanilla instant pudding
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 lg. can cherry pie filling
1 sm. container Cool Whip

Bake cake according to directions.

Prepare pudding according to directions.

In a punch bowl (or any very deep, large bowl) crumble one half of cake. Spoon 1/2 of crushed pineapple on top of cake. Then spread 1/2 of cherry pie filling on pineapple. Then add a layer of pudding. Repeat, top with Cool Whip.

This recipe is best if prepared a day ahead to give cake a chance to moisten.
