MARTY'S MEAT ROLL
2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
1 lb. ground beef
shredded Cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef (may use a little onion if desired). Meanwhile, prepare biscuit dough. Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center. Add milk all at once. Stir just until dough clings together. Knead gently on a lightly floured surface for 10 to 12 strokes. Roll dough out to about 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick in an oval shape. Spread ground beef over dough and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Roll dough up, pinching sides to keep meat from falling out. Place roll on Reynolds Wrap and seal.

Bake at 400°F for about 45 minutes. Undo Reynolds Wrap and bake until dough is golden brown. May serve with mushroom or brown gravy.
