LAYER FRUIT CAKE 
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
Red and green candied pineapple
Red and green candied cherries
1 bottle cherries
1 box raisins
2 qts. pecans

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs. Sift together dry ingredients. Use small amount of flour to coat fruit and nuts. Mix buttermilk and dry ingredients into batter alternately add nuts and fruit.

Bake in 9 inch cake pans at 300 degrees until done. This will make 4 or 5 layers.

FILLING:

3 c. sugar
1/2 stick butter
2 lg. oranges, grated
1 lg. can pineapple
2 cans coconut

Mix all together and cook until thick. Spread between layers and on top of cake.
