PEPPER STEAK 
1 lg. green pepper, sliced in chunks
1 med. onion, sliced in chunks
1 tomato, sliced in chunks
3/4 c. mushrooms
1/2 lb. round beef steak
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tbsp. cooking sherry
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Slice beef in strips about 2 inches long. Mix soy sauce, wine, soda, and cornstarch together. Coat beef with soy sauce mixture, set aside. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in wok or skillet. Stir-fry beef for 2-3 minutes until brown. Remove from wok.

Heat 4 tablespoons oil. Stir-fry onion, green pepper, tomato, and mushrooms until cooked through but still firm. Add beef again and cook through.
