BUTTERMILK FUDGE 
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. white corn syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine butter, buttermilk, corn syrup, soda and sugar. Cook mixture very slowly without stirring until it forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water (45 to 55 minutes). Remove from heat, let cool (10 to 15 minutes). Beat until candy looses its gloss. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Pour into a greased square pan and cut into squares.
