PEPPERONI ROLLS
3 1/2 c. to 3 3/4 c. reg. or bread flour
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. softened butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot water
1/2 c. milk, scalded, then cooled
1 beaten egg
1/2-1 tsp. salt
Pepperoni stick (whole, not sliced)

Combine the yeast, butter, sugar, and 2 cups of flour. Then add the water, milk, egg, and salt. Once combined, slowly add 1 1/2 cups flour. If dough is sticky, add more until dough is easier to handle. Knead for 5 minutes. Let rise until double, about an hour and a half. While dough is rising, cut pepperoni into 3 inch strips. After an hour, beat the dough down and pinch off small amounts. Wrap each pepperoni strip with dough, using 2 pieces of pepperoni, keeping them separated. Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. (Also good with cheese. If in a hurry, use hot roll mix.)
