BEEF-CABBAGE JAMBALAYA 
1 head cabbage, shredded
1 lb. meat
1 lg.onion, chopped
1 lg. bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 jalapeno, chopped
1 c. raw rice
1 c. water
Salt and pepper to taste
3 tbsp. chili powder

In cast iron skillet with 1 tablespoon oil, mix meat and vegetables together. Cook until the meat is done. Drain and remove from skillet. Add a little water to cabbage and smother; add all ingredients together; add the rice and water and seasoning. Cover and cook on low heat for 1 hour.
