PORK CHOP CASSEROLE | |
5 to 6 pork chops 1 1/2 c. rice, uncooked 1 c. flour 1 onion, sliced 1 bell pepper, sliced 6 carrots, scraped & sliced Oil Salt, pepper and flour pork chops. Brown in hot oil quickly on both sides. In greased (Pam) casserole place 1 1/2 cups rice. Place sliced onions, sliced bell peppers, sliced carrots and pork chops on top of the rice. Drain grease leaving drippings from pork chops. Add 2 tablespoons flour, salt and pepper, brown (make roux). Add 3 cups water to make gravy. Pour gravy over pork chops-rice and cover. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. |
