HOMEMADE HAMBURGER HELPER
1 lb. ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
1 sm. onion, chopped (optional)

Cook onion and ground beef in skillet until brown. Pour off excess fat. Mix soup with 2 cans of water, add soup and noodles to ground beef mixture and simmer on low for about 20 minutes. Cover skillet while simmering. After 20 minutes, cook uncovered until desired consistency.

May be substituted for other types of cream soups, works well with variations.

This turned out good, but was lacking in flavor. I would need to make it again and maybe use beef broth in place of cans of water, use mushrooms and maybe some garlic powder. I added 1 cup of frozen peas.

It was good, but I think next time I would add mushrooms, and sour cream. I used milk instead of water. It gave it a little creamer sauce. I think the sour cream would give it the tang it is missing though.

This needs more seasonings - maybe some garlic and/or celery salt. Was a little flat.

This is very basic and needs lots of additions. Added lots of cheese, chili powder, onion and garlic powder, 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables. Needed an extra can of water with all that.
