GERMAN CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS 
1 lb. caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter
1/3 c. more evaporated milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Grease a 9"x13" pan. Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk. In bowl, combine dry cake mix, melted butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Add nuts. Stir until dough will hold together. Press 1/2 in bottom of pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Spread caramel mixture over chips. Crumble or spread the reserved dough over caramel mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes more. Cool, cut and refrigerate.
