CHERRY SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling
Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Gradually add sugar to butter in large mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla. Add flour slowly, beating well. Pour batter into well greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Mark off into 24 squares. Place about 1 tablespoon (3 cherries) filling in center of each square.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 38 to 40 minutes or until done. Sift powdered sugar over cake while hot. Cool and cut into squares.
