STREUSEL-FILLED BAKED APPLES 
4 Golden Delicious apples
Brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter, softened
1 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. raisins
3 tbsp. chopped nuts
3/4 c. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Core apples leaving bottom intact; pare 1/3 of way down from top. Combine 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar, butter, flour, raisins and nuts. Fill apples with mixture; place in baking dish.

Combine water, 1/2 cup brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in saucepan. Bring to boil. Cook, 5 minutes; stir occasionally. Pour sauce over apples. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until tender, basting occasionally. Serve warm. Makes 4 servings.
