CRANBERRY CHUTNEY 
2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 (12 oz.) pkg. cranberries
1 good sized apple, diced
1 tsp. ginger or 1 tbsp. candied ginger
1 c. raisins
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Boil sugar and water until sugar is dissolved. Add rest of ingredients and simmer until thick. Add 1/2 cup English walnuts. Can be put in hot sterilized jars or if to be used right away, put in container in refrigerator.
