OATMEAL-SOUR CREAM COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 sm. container sour cream
Optional: nuts-chopped, raisins

Cream together butter and shortening, add egg and sugars and vanilla. Separately combine oatmeal, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Dough will be hard to mix, add sour cream, then nuts and/or raisins.

Drop from spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees until cookies are beginning to turn golden. Cookies will be very soft and moist so much cool a while before removal from pan.
