SOUR CREAM OATMEAL COOKIES 
Makes about 2 dozen.

1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1 c. oatmeal
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. flour
1/2 c. raisins, optional
1/2 c. nuts, optional

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine and mix ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake 18 to 20 minutes.

These cookies are excellent. I have been making this recipe for years, but couldn't find my copy and wasn't sure I had enough oatmeal for it anyway. So I found this cause it sounded about right, and then continued looking for my own, and lo and behold, they are identical and this one is cut in half which is what I wanted. This is a soft chewy cookie, that is not overly sweet. I make half plain and put a half cup of dried cranberries in the second half. Yum!
