FRENCH-FRIED MUSHROOMS 
1 lb. mushrooms
1/3 c. flour
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. parsley flakes
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1 egg

Trim stem ends of mushrooms. Combine flour, bread crumbs, and seasonings in shallow bowl. Beat egg. Dip mushrooms in egg, then in flour mixture, tossing to coat well. Shake off excess crumbs. Heat oil in deep fryer to 375 degrees. Fry mushrooms a few at a time until golden brown.
