MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
3 qts. popped corn
1 1/2 c. peanuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Put popped corn and peanuts in brown paper bag. Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup in a 2-quart bowl. Microwave 3-4 minutes, stirring each minute until mixture boils. Cook 2 more minutes. Stir in soda. Pour syrup over popcorn and peanuts and close bag. Shake well, cook for 1 1/2 minutes and shake bag again, cook 1 1/2 minutes more. Pour mixture onto cookie sheets to cool. Stir while cooling.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
