BRAN MUFFINS 
1 1/4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. bran flakes (cereal)
1 1/4 c. milk
1 egg
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 c. raisins

Combine milk and bran flakes. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes or until cereal is softened. Add egg and shortening; beat well. Add dry ingredients to cereal mixture and raisins stirring only until combined. Bake at 400 degrees 25 minutes or until done. About 12 muffins.
