ENGLISH TOFFEE 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
3 tbsp. cold water
1/2 c. chopped blanched almonds
1/2 bag (6 oz.) milk chocolate chips

Melt butter. Add sugar. Cook on medium heat until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Add water and corn syrup. Cook until soft crack stage. Remove from heat. Add almonds. Spread on cookie sheet. Sprinkle chips on top. Spread melted chips evenly. Put in refrigerator to cool. When cooled, break pieces off by hand.
