POLYNESIAN MEATBALLS | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 egg 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 c. oatmeal, crushed crackers or bread crumbs 13 1/2 oz. chunk pineapple in juice 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/2 c. vinegar 3/4 c. brown sugar 1 c. chopped green pepper 3 tbsp. soy sauce 1 sm. pimento 2 tbsp. lemon juice Mix together beef, egg, onion and oatmeal. Form into meatballs. Place in large skillet on stove. In large pan, combine pineapple, cornstarch, vinegar, brown sugar, green pepper, soy sauce, pimento and lemon juice. Heat until thick. Pour over meatballs. Simmer on low 45 minutes. |
