BEER BREAD 
3 c. self-rising flour
12 oz. can beer
Additional butter for brushing on top (about 1/2 stick, melted)
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 stick butter, melted

Mix flour, sugar, beer and 1/2 stick butter together. Pour into well greased 9"x5" loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Pour additional butter over bread and bake for 15 more minutes to brown. Serve warm or cool. Makes great sandwiches. Leftovers are good bread crumbs for topping casseroles. A quick bread to make when you realize you forgot to get bread at the store.
