BEER BREAD (OR 1-2-3 BREAD) 
1 can beer, at room temperature
2 tbsp. sugar
3 c. self-rising flour

Mix self-rising flour and sugar in a bowl and pour in one can of beer at room temperature. Mix with a wooden spoon just until all the dry ingredients are moist; will be a little stiff and not smooth. Transfer to a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or a little more until golden brown. Remove from pan a few minutes after it's out of the oven. It makes a dense loaf which tastes great warm or slices well for toast.
